February 2007: |
Chrysalis Scientific Technologies is pleased to announce the exciting new FORTIS line of premium HPLC columns. Fortis Technologies has developed a unique bonding technology, which, when combined with their high-purity silica, creates a unique HPLC sorbent, proven to last more than 50% longer than the competition at pH 10.6 (in 0.1% NH3). Unlike other high-pH compatible columns, FORTIS columns are not hybrid phases and, therefore, provide a single interaction (C-18, C-8, Phenyl, etc.), enabling them to achieve any separation a traditional column can at low pH in addition to extremely efficient separation of basic polar analytes at elevated pH. This additional flexibility, combined with their longer lifespan, is allowing laboratories to achieve more while buying fewer columns -- resulting in significantly lower cost per sample.
